Each print is a handmade original and therefore a unique work of art in its own right, even when produced in a limited edition.

All my prints are an exploration of 'place'; how we experience it, what it's history is, what its future may be. Place is the starting point for me. I work from sketches made on location along with secondary research and sometimes memory, gradually building up a body of work about a specific place.
Occasionally I need to visit alternate places during a project, for example for my 'Welcome' project I wanted to depict the Isle of Dogs as it was prior to the docks being built in approximately 1775 so Norfolk provided much of the imagery ideas with big skies, wetland areas, flora and fauna that I was interested in.
