Monoprints on various Japanese Awagami Washi papers

Monoprints made using materials collected in early summer in the Swinley Forest.  Collecting and using materials from the forest to make prints and plates is a way of recording the changing shapes and textures in the forest throughout the year.
 
These are seconds as they are slightly imperfect, often stems are missing an small area of ink as they were crossed in the first inking.  Some leaves may be slighly fainter than others.  In prints where the whole paper has ink there may be variation around the edges due to varying paper sizes as several prints are made from each inking.  
 
Framing: suggest float mounting to show off the beautiful deckled edge to this stunning paper.
