Part of a series inspired by sitting on the highest dune, right above the beach at Winterton-on-Sea looking over the land watching the sunset which is always surprisingly early immediately after the clocks change in October.
Thoughts of impermanence, flux and constant change in the landscape alongside the permanence of historic habitats and the species who depend upon it stretching back through time are juxtaposed in these works. This is a landscape is a place that very much feels like it belongs to itself first.
This work is framed in charcoal by Alastair Smithers Framing.
