A series of monoprints exploring timber production as part of a sustainable circular economy.  The bottom layer is monoprinted papers used as chine collé, a drypoint etching of circles was printed over the papers and then several further layers of direct monoprints added.
There is much variation throughout each print depending on how each paper reacted to the ink making each print fascinating close up.  With feathery edges from the chine collé and hidden shapes from the direct printing this is the beginning of a fascinating line of enquiry. 
 
Two prints in this series were exhibited at the Southbank Printmakers mini print exhibition 2024.
 
Framed by Alastair Smithers Picture Framing, with a white window mount (colour matched to the paper the etching is on) and a brown/charcoal moulding which compliments the ink colour perfectly.  Overall framed size is 25cm (w) x 26cm (h).
