Winter Westerly T/P 2

Winter Westerly T/P 2

Reduction Linocut

52x43cm paper size unframed
Printed on Kitakata paper 36gsm with deckled edges
There are 15 prints in the edition plus 5 'test prints'

As with all my prints 'Winter Westerly' is set in a real place. The original sketch (pictured) was done at a popular spot in the Swinley Forest by the pill boxes in an area called Bagshot Heath.  It is on top of a hill, overlooked by a huge communications mast.  The area is relatively clear but features lots of immature silver birch trees, heather, bracken and grasses.

Test print 2 has a very slight mark above the left of the tree where the lino has touched the paper in ever-so-slightly the wrong place on the first inking of the tree (a very light ochre-brown).

There is a picture of one of the editioned prints included for comparison and to show the deckled edge of the paper.
